Julianna Schley is a screenwriter, director and performance artist living in Los Angeles. Using humor and an uncomfortable level of vulnerability, Schley exposes contradictions in society and blurs the line between subtle satire and acidic truth. Schley wrote and directed her first feature film, Don't Be Like Roy, in 2015. The film premiered at the Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, and went on to screen at various venues across America and Europe. She relocated from New York City to Los Angeles in 2020 to focus on her screenwriting career.
Schley graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2009 with a BFA in Film. Her biggest influences are books.
